Hard anodizing produces a thick oxide layer with high hardness. By increasing the current density and voltage in a low-temperature electrolyte bath, the oxide film can reach a thickness of 30–50 μm or more, with hardness up to approximately HV500. This coating offers excellent wear resistance, high electrical insulation, and strong corrosion resistance, making it widely used in mechanical applications.
